Residents urged to be extra vigilant after a suspected catalytic converter theft

Police are warning residents to be vigilant after reports of a suspected catalytic converter theft in Sandbach. 

Cheshire police said they received reports of a suspected theft from a vehicle in Elton Crossings Road in Elworth yesterday at around 12.10 am.

A police car was later seen patrolling the Elworth area in the early hours of the morning. 

A police spokesperson said: "The caller later updated to report it was believed a catalytic converter had been stolen. Enquiries are currently ongoing."
