Motorists faced delays yesterday (Wednesday) after a lorry had shed its load on the M6 northbound slip road near Junction 18 of the M6.

A spokesperson from Cheshire Police said: "At 10.20am on Wednesday 21 October, officers were made aware of a shed load on the M6 northbound slip road at junction 18 (Middlewich).

"Police attended and found a lorry had shed its load of glass. Officers assisted with traffic management while highways cleared the shed load.

"Police left the scene at 12.40pm and the scene was passed to highways."
