A road near Sandbach was closed earlier today (Thursday) following a collision beween two HGVs.

Police say one man was taken to hospital following the incident at 9.17 a in Church Lane, Smallwood.

A spokesperson from Cheshire Police said: "At 9.17 am on Thursday 27 November, police were called to reports of a collision in Church Lane, Smallwood. The collision involved two HGVs.

"One man was taken to hospital. The road was closed due to oil on the road."
