One fire engine from Crewe went to the fire.

A Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service spokesperson said: "The road was temporarily closed and residents were asked to remain indoors until the electricity board arrived and isolated the electricity to make the scene safe.

"At 4.45 pm crews handed over to the electricity board after using the thermal imaging camera to ensure there were no further hot spots."
