Romeo Beckham will not feature in match against Crewe Alexandra this weekend

Romeo Beckham will not be playing against Crewe Alexandra this weekend - following the arrangement of a behind-closed-doors friendly.

The Railwaymen will face Brentford B at The Mornflake Stadium this Saturday (October 15) at 12pm - without any spectators.

This week, Romeo Beckham, son of David Beckham, made national headlines claiming he was set to make his debut in English football.

Nub News understands the 20-year-old will not be featuring in the friendly fixture.

Crewe Alexandra will face Brentford B at The Mornflake Stadium this Saturday (October 15) at 12pm - without any spectators (Brentford FC Twitter).

Romeo has recently been training with the Premier League side's reserve squad.

He is currently contracted to MLS Next Pro side Inter Miami CF II - owned by dad David.

Last season, Beckham's second eldest son has made 26 appearances for the club - scoring twice.

The Arsenal supporter can play as a full-back, winger or a forward.

Crewe will face Brentford reserve players hoping to stake a claim for Premier League football.

This friendly match comes less than 24 hours after the Alex face Tranmere Rovers in an away encounter on Friday (October 14).

Crewe Alexandra have confirmed no supporters will be allowed into the stadium against Brentford B.

The club said it will be providing social updates on the friendly followed by a match report.
