A Sandbach church has joined forces with another church in the area to send items to the Ukraine.

Grace Church Sandbach has teamed up with Wheelock Heath Baptist Church in Winterley to collect then deliver items needed for Ukraininan refugees in Europe.

A spokesperson said: "A large amount of specifically requested items were donated and loaded into a borrowed lorry last week then driven down to the Barnabas Fund central collecting point at Swindon.

"They are then being sent onwards and will be distributed to the areas most in need at the time by the local churches in those areas."
