Sandbach legal firm becomes part of a growing Midlands-based law group

One of the Midlands' fastest growing employee-owned legal firms is expanding into Cheshire after buying a Sandbach law firm.
Talbots Law, which has nineteen offices across the Black Country, Birmingham, Coventry, North Staffordshire, Shropshire and Worcestershire has bought Tinsdills Solicitors.
The acquisition will see around 85 staff join Talbots Law, with the office on the High Street in Sandbach and sites in Leek, Newcastle-under-Lyme and Stoke-on-Trent becoming part of the Talbots' network.
This move brings together two of the region's most respected and long-established legal firms, creating a powerful partnership committed to delivering a full spectrum of legal services to individuals and businesses across the Midlands and beyond.

"Since becoming an Employee-Owned Trust (EOT) in 2021, we've been focused on both organic and acquisitive growth to accelerate our presence," said Dave Hodgetts, CEO of Talbots Law.
"This deal takes our combined turnover to over £40m turnover and expands our footprint to 19 offices.
"North Staffordshire and Cheshire have long been 'target' areas for us, and there are few firms as respected as Tinsdills Solicitors whose roots date back to 1580.
"The decision to join forces was easy - our values align, and we share a deep commitment to supporting local people and businesses. Tinsdills' client service is ranked as top 15 nationally on Review Solicitors, which speaks volumes."
He continued: "As an employee-owned business, every member of our team has a stake in our success. That shared ownership drives our culture, our client service, and our ambition.
"Welcoming the Tinsdills team into our employee ownership model means we're not just growing – we're growing together."
Importantly, all existing staff will continue to serve clients from their current offices, ensuring a smooth transition and uninterrupted service.
"We're excited to be joining Talbots Law," said Peter Hamilton, Business Owner and Chairman of Tinsdills Solicitors.
"While our name will retire, this move allows us to build on our legacy and embrace new opportunities for growth and enhanced client service."
He concluded: "Our clients can be rest assured that the trusted relationships they have built with our team will remain – now backed by the strength and shared values of an employee-owned firm."
