It's World Book Day tomorrow (Wednesday) and many children will be dressing up for the day as their favourite character.

Sandbach Library on The Commons has come up with a novel way to help parents and carers scrambling around to find costumes for their youngsters!

They library has started a fancy dress costume swap system. You can take any unwanted fancy dress costumes to the library and swap them for ones they now need.

A library spokesperson said: "We've got a few fancy dress costumes here at the library. If anyone is needing one of them then do please pop down.

"Or if you have any usable costumes that you could swap with the ones we have here then do."

It's a good way of clearing out the children's dressing up box and donating items which your little ones have grown out of.

Tomorrow, on World Book Day, Sandbach Library is running a 'Stories and Crafts' event from 10.30 am until 11 am for pre-school children.
