Sandbach Mayor holds fun 80s night to raise money for her two charities

Music lovers are being invited to don their 80s gear at an event to raise funds for Sandbach Mayor's two charities.

A 'Back to the 80s' night is being held at Sandbach Cricket Club on Friday, April 28th featuring the band Hello Felix and an 80s disco.

The event will raise funds for Sandbach Animal Rescue and Cheshire Arts for Health based at Sandbach Art Room.

Mayor, Councillor Kathryn Flavell, nominated Sandbach Art Room and Sandbach Animal Rescue as her two charities for her year in office.

Sandbach Animal Rescue Society's head fundraiser and event organiser, Karen Guy (pictured below with mayor Cllr Kathryn Flavell) is looking forward to the event.

"It's been an honour to have been one of the charities that the mayor chose for her time in office and we are looking forward to a great evening of music and dancing at the 80's evening which has been organised at Sandbach Cricket Club," she said.

"Why not pop into our shop on George's Walk and see if we have a new outfit that takes your fancy.

Tickets are £12 which includes food and fancy dress is optional. They are available from the new Sandbach Animal Rescue Society shop and Cheshire Arts for Health in Bradwall Road.
