Sandbach mum pays for a private operation to end years of misery and pain

A Sandbach mother-of-two can finally breath a sigh of relief after ending around seven years of pain.
Louise Walton, 32, from Elworth suffered every month with chronic pain and discomfort from her monthly cycle.
She tried everything to end her discomfort an asked the NHS repeatedly if she could have a hysterectomy or be sterilised to try and end her discomfort.
But each time Louise asked medical professionals if she could have a hysterectomy, she was refused and told she was too young and there was a long waiting list.

In the end, the mum, who has a young son and daughter called Esme and a Connor, had had enough and decided to pay privately to have the operation at the Alexendra Hospital in Cheadle where she had a laparoscopic hysterectomy (ovaries kept).
"I used to have to plan my life around my monthly cycle I was in so much pain each month. There was hardly any gap between each one and it really too it out of me," said Louise from Patrons Drive.
"I found it difficult to work. I used to have long periods lasting from 10 to 14 days. In the end we decided to pay privately."
Louise said she was seen by a private consultant at the Alexandra Hospital and just two-and-a-half weeks later she went into the hospital to have the operation.
"It has taken it out of me but I do feel loads better already. I stayed in overnight. My problems gradually got worse after having my little boy.
"We didn't want to pay privately but in the end we'd run out of options. It's worth every penny. I just couldn't have gone on the way I was."
