Sandbach came together to party like no other as a celebration for King Charles III's Coronation.

Bad weather failed to dampen the spirits of party goers at Sandbach Town Council's big Coronation celebration at Sandbach Rugby Club.

Crowds turned out to see the town's world-famous Foden's Band perform alongside the Wirral Pipe and Drum Band and Audley Male Voice Choir.

Sandbach Mayor, Councillor Kathryn Flavell, opened the event which was free and entry by a wrist band.

Foden's Band closed the big celebration in a 'last night of the proms' finale with Land of Hope and Glory and Jerusalem.

Today (Sunday) the fun continues with an afternoon tea party on the rugby club pitch, with live stream of the Coronation concert. Wrist band holders can take their own picnic or buy food and drink from the venue.

Happy Sunday – hoping Sandbach Nub News readers enjoy their day!
