It was a weekend for remembering – with various ceremonies across the town yesterday (Sunday).

The traditional Remembrance Parade took place in front of a large crowd at the War Memorial on The Cobbles.

And the family of a British soldier from Sandbach who died fighting alongside the Ukrainian forces against Russian invaders was among those to lay a wreath.

Jordan's brother laid a wreath in his memory watched by his mum and dad.

The parade marched from Westfields in Middlewich Road with Roberts Bakery Band leading the parade followed by a two minute silence at Sandbach War Memorial.

Lions Youth Brass Band were on the Market Square and the traditional Remembrance parade service took place at St Mary's Church.
