The Sandbach Rock 'n Pop Festival is set to return this summer with a line up of popular tribute acts alongside original local musicians.

The annual event dubbed 'Glastonbach' is held at the rugby club but had to be cancelled last year due to the pandemic but organisers are hopeful that it will be able to go ahead in July

Event organiser, Andy Milner, told Nub News: "There might be some Covid guidelines in place then but under the government's roadmap we should be able to hold events like this after 21 June.

"There will be about 15 acts in all covering the pop and rock genres. Our headline act will be a Kylie [Minogue] tribute act at the end of it."

Among the other tributes acts to perform will be Billie Eilish, Beyonce, the Northern Echoes and Paloma Faith.

The event is billed as having "great entertainment for the whole family" and will feature food stalls and an all-day bar.

Money raised from the event will go towards the Patryk Milner Memorial Fund, set up in memory of Andy's young son who died last year as well as AMMF, a cholangiocarcinoma awareness charity.
