Members and friends of Sandbach Royal British Legion danced the night away at a dance to mark the branch's 100th anniversary.

One of Cheshire's Deputy Lord Lieutenants, Tony Garnett, was guest at the event at Sandbach Town Hall.

More than 60 people danced the night away and enjoyed a buffet, helping to raise £104 for the branch.

The branch which was formed in 1921, received a letter from the Queen in honour of its 100 years.

Chairwoman, Majorie Newton told Nub News: "It was a lovely evening and a wonderful event to mark our anniversary."
