Sandbach School and Sandbach High School and Sixth Form College have announced they will remain closed tomorrow (Tuesday) due to the adverse weather.

Both schools put posts on their Social Media pages today saying they will remain closed tomorrow (6 January) due to the weather.

Sandbach School said: "Please note that the school will not re-open to all students as planned tomorrow (Tuesday 6 January 2026) taking into account the current weather forecast and condition of local roads, paths and the car park on the school site.

"This decision has been taken with the safety of everyone in mind."

Sandbach High School and Sixth Form College in Middlewich Road is also remaining closed tomorrow (Tuesday).

A post on their Social Media page said: "Please note the school and collage are closed on Tuesday due to the weather, students have been emailed regarding information about lessons being delivered by remote work."

A blanket of snow fell in the area overnight with Cheshire East Council warning motorists to only travel if 'absolutely necessary'.
