Sandbach is due to host an 'amazing' afternoon of live music and family fun this weekend.

'Party in the Park' will be taking place at Sandbach Park from 2-8pm on Saturday 13 June.

Throughout the day, there will be a stellar lineup of musical performances, including Sandbach's very own Foden's Band, who will be closing proceedings.

The full programme is as follows:

• 2.15pm - Rock Choir Sandbach: Expect high-energy and uplifting popular music.
• 4.30pm - Sandbach School Band: These talented young musicians will be playing a selection of contemporary hits, pop, swing and funk.
• 6pm - Foden's Band: The world's number ones will be bringing easy listening classics, finishing off with a rousing finale of the Last Night of the Proms!

And it's not just music - throughout the day there will be family-friendly activities such as face-painting, balloons, magic shows, Punch and Judy fun, a toy stall, and refreshments (including tea, coffee and ice cream).

Visitors are also invited to bring their own rugs, food and chairs if they fancy a picnic.

Free parking is available on the Commons and Little Commons Car Parks.
