A community theatre group is getting ready to stage its next production written by a playwright famous for TV and radio comedies.

Sandbach-based Saxon Players' next production is a popular farce by Edward Taylor who is well known for TV and radio comedies like "The Men From The Ministry".

The group staged their last production, Hannah's Left Hook, earlier this year which won recognition in the Wilmslow Play Festival for actress, Joanne Sutton, who played her great grandmother in the true life story her talented late father wrote.

.

Joanne won best senior performance at the Wilmslow Play Festival for her portrayal of Hannah in Hannah's Left Hook and the group is hoping to have equal success with their current production which goes on stage later this month.

In "No Dinner For Sinners", Jim Watt runs the London office of a stock exchange firm and is hosting dinner for the International Director and his wife, Bill and Nancy McGregor, members of the anti-permissive society group.

As Bill strongly disapproves of unmarried couples living together, Jim needs a wife for the evening, but who will end up fulfilling that role?

Will it be his girlfriend, his adoring office assistant, his eccentric cleaner or one of a plethora of ex-girlfriends? It could be any number and this hilarious farce will keep you guessing right up until the end.

The play will be performed at Sandbach Masonic Hall from September 29th until Saturday October 1st.

Doors open at 7pm and the play starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are available from the website https://saxonplayers.square.site/
