By Deborah Bowyer 30th Oct 2026
Public toilets in the centre of Sandbach run by Sandbach Town Council are to remain closed due to repeated vandalism running into thousands of pounds. .
A recent meeting of Sandbach Town Council heard that anti social behaviour running had caused the toilets in High Street at the back of the market hall to be closed.
Now councillors have voted to keep the toilets closed for good but to keep the disabled accessible toilet open.

Councillor John Arnold said the council should provide toilets but due to the amount of vandalism and the anti social behaviour it was proving difficult.
Councillor Ann Nevitt told how the toilet pan had been lifted and tiles had taken off the walls. She said: "It's happened endless times and we need to draw a line under it.
