Sandbach United Football Club has launched its annual appeal for items to help boost food banks during the festive season.

Every year, the club asks players and fans to donate items to help Sandbach Foodbank and Middlewich & District Foodbank.

This year's appeal runs until November 16th and the club is hoping the response this year will be as good as last year.

Anyone with donations can drop them off at the club in Hind Heath Road.

Last year, the response was so good the club needed a white van to deliver the donations.

"The response last year was amazing. We sent a message round all our teams and we had a great response," said Liz Clark, Sandbach United Football Club's Diversity and Inclusion Officer,

She added: "We're delighted to be helping families at Christmas."
