Manchester United is coming to Sandbach to play in special anniversary match

Sandbach United Football Club is set to celebrate its 20th anniversary this year in style – by playing the Red Devils!

The Hind Heath Road based club will take on none other than Manchester United XI to celebrate their big birthday. 

Manchester United XI are playing Sandbach United to celebrate the Hind Heath Road's 20th anniversary.

To celebrate, the club is hosting a Manchester United XI at their Hind Heath Road facility to play an exhibition match against a Sandbach United XI. The match takes place during the afternoon on Sunday, May 26th.

Operations Manager Oliver Byron said "We have had this in the planning for a number of months and launched the event last Friday,

"We have been overwhelmed by the response with 1000 tickets already sold and we really are the talk of the town at the moment.

"It will sure to be a great day with some fantastic ex professional footballers visiting us with food and drink available and live music after the game."

After the game, there will be live music from Ben Cornes who will be performing after the match on the patio outside the CrossBar.

Sandbach United was formed in 2004 with following the amalgamation of Sandbach Albion and Sandbach Ramblers.
