Nicola, assistant director of the Royal British Legion, managing welfare services, travelled to the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire for a special service to mark the anniversary.

As well as watching a fly past by all three services and a wreath being laid by Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, Nicola was also interviewed by the ITV and the BBC in her role for the Royal British Legion.

At the weekend, Nicola was interviewed by the BBC World News for a programme about the Falklands 40 years on.

Nicola told Sandbach Nub News: "It was a great honour to attend the service and to be there to remembering their contribution and particularly the sacrifice of 255 British personnel who sadly lost their lives.

"As a champion of remembrance, the RBL has brought people together to remember the service and sacrifice of the UK Armed Forces, their families and the civilian communities involved in the Falklands War to ensure their contribution is never forgotten.

"RBL is supporting many Falklands veterans and their families living with physical and psychological health issues because of their service in the war.

Nicola has urged any Falklands veterans and their families to come forward and contact the RBL if they need help.
