World famous Foden's Band from Sandbach has notched up another award – 2021 4barsrest Band of the Year.

After an amazing year which saw them become the National Champions of Great Britain at the Royal Albert Hall in October, the band has been awarded another accolade.

They have been crowned '2021 4barsrest Band of the Year.' 4barsrest is an online magazine that has more than five thousand visits per day and is seen as the lead magazine for brass band enthusiasts.

A Foden's spokesperson said: "The award was made to Foden's after consultation with 15 contributors who looked at a shortlist of bands across the world, taking into account a number of factors including their contribution on and off the contest platform.

"The same panel also awarded Foden's the 'Contest Performance of the Year' after they had listened to a number of winning performances taken at various National Contests in 2021."

The winning performance for this award was their recording at the Royal Albert Hall.

Foden's has a number of performances taking place in Sandbach later this year and in May they will be representing England at the 'European Brass Band Championships' at the Symphony Hall in Birmingham.
