This year's annual 'Tree of Light' at Sandbach Cemetery was another huge success.

Each year, the event, organised by the Friends of Sandbach Cemetery and Orbitas Bereavement Services, gets bigger and better.

The year saw Offley Primary Academy choir from Sandbach and The Dingle School in Haslington perform alongside a host of others at the recent event.

Sandbach Cemetery literally shine again after the lights were switched on to show the hundreds of stars placed on the tree to remember loved ones lost.

Deputy Mayor, Councillor Ann Nevitt, joined others on stage at the closure of the popular event which involves an 'army' of volunteers who give up up their time to help.

The lights on the tree were officially switched on by Sandbach Mayor, Councillor Laura Crane.
