Sandbach's Grade II listed Wetherspoon pub applies to upgrade its Wifi

A popular Sandbach pub situated in one of the town's oldest buildings with a rich history has applied to upgrade its Wifi.
The George in High Street, Sandbach housed in a Grade II listed building, has applied to Cheshire East Council for listed building consent to upgrade the Wifi.
The application can be viewed here and a decision is due soon.
Two hundred years ago, The George was one of Sandbach's original coaching inns. In the 1830s, Sandbach was an important stopping place on the roads from London and Birmingham to both Liverpool and Manchester.
Years ago, horse drawn stagecoaches would have stopped off at The George on their long journeys north and south.
