Sandbach's secondary schools both hit by the adverse weather conditions
The first day back to school after the Christmas holidays has been delayed for many youngsters due to the snowfall overnight.
Sandbach School in Crewe Road was closed while students at Sandbach High School and Sixth Form College in Middlewich Road were doing on-line lessons remotely for the day.
A statement on Sandbach School's Social Media said: "Please note that Sandbach School will be closed today, 6th January 2024 due to the adverse weather and road conditions."
A message on Sandbach High School and Sixth Form College's Facebook page said: "School is closed today. We will update with further information shortly.
"Lessons will be delivered remotely. Please visit our webpage here for more details.
"We will update with more information in due course."
