Pupils at a Sandbach primary school are set to see a few changes when they begin the new term in September.

Elworth Church of England Primary School in School Lane has had a four classroom extension, with re-modelling to some existing areas and external works including multi-use games areas and a trim trail.

A Cheshire East Council spokesman said one of the existing classrooms has been converted into group rooms and special education needs and disability (SEND) use.

"The school previously had 11 classrooms and will now have 14 to support a published admission number of 60, going forward," he said.

The whole project, including works to external areas, cost around £1.8m and is due to be handed over to the school this month.
