Mysterious things are happening on one of the main roads going into Sandbach!

Roadwork signs mis-spelling Middlewich Road (with a 'h' - Middlewhich) appeared along the road recently.

Signs appeared telling motorists about the road being closed one way from April 1st until April 5th but whoever had designed the signs had mis-spelt 'Middlewich'.

The road name was later taken off the signs. (Photo: Nub News)

Sandbach Nub News spotted the error yesterday (Monday) morning and stopped to take photographs but when we went back later in the day, towards lunchtime, all the signs had been changed.

Middlewich Road was taken off all the signs and replaced with just 'Road Closed One Way'.

Did anyone else spot these? Cheshire East Council was approached for a comment.
