Six runners from Sandbach are doing their final preparations for a 10K run in aid of charity this weekend.

Marie Morgan, Amy Bosson, Kate Bosson, Lydia Cooper, Lucy Gunby and Kayleigh Harding are all taking part in Sunday's (May 26th) Manchester 10K.

The runners are all raising money for the British Heath Foundation as a friend's son is waiting for a heart transplant.

The team are running as 'Team Tyler' and have set up a fundraising page here for donations which so far have reached £1,686.

Lydia Cooper and her friends have been training hard for the 10K run and are hoping more donations will come in.

"The 23-year-old we know has now been placed under the care of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham with a view of an early future heart transplant.

"We want to do all we can to help him and others which is why we're doing the 10K for the British Heart Foundation."

The link to make donations for 'Team Tyler' is here.

Around 30,000 people are set to take to the streets of Manchester City Centre for the event.
