A company is claiming that a residential area of Sandbach is one of the 'safest streets' in the nation.

security experts at ADT have analysed the crime rates of each UK postcode sector between May 2022 to June 2023 to determine the safest postcodes.

The study also revealed the UK areas with the most and least police force members, fire incidents, CCTV cameras and burglaries.

And in second place, as the second safest place in the country, is the CW11 3 postcode area.

This contains streets like Forge Fields, in the Wheelock area of Sandbach.

The survey determined that in the year-long period, there was a crime cate of just seven crimes per 1000 people.

The study also acknowledged low crime rates in the areas around the postcode, which led to CW11 3 reach second place in the survey.

ADT, the firm behind the study said: "Taking second place is the postcode area CW11 3, which encompasses the wards of Warmingham, Moston and Sandbach. The crime rate for this postcode area is 7 per 1,000 people and includes no violent crimes. All of the crimes in this postcode sector were for anti-social behaviour."
