Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

Friday, November 21st

At Sandbach Market Hall, it's the Friday indoor market from 9 am until 4 pm - a chance to shop local and look around a variety of stalls. A chance to pick up some Christmas gifts and get ready for the festive time ahead!

Saturday, November 22nd

Fancy making your own Christmas wreath? Sandbach Art Room has the first of its Christmas wreath workshops at St Peter's Church hall from 10.30 am until 12.30 pm. The cost is £35. Book through their website here

Wheelock Congregational Church has a Christmas fayre from 2.30 pm. It's a chance to grab some presents ready for Christmas before heading into town for the light switch on. Make it a festive afternoon! 

Fancy watching some live football? Sandbach United Football Club's first team are at home with a cup game against Nelson with a 3 pm kick-off in Hind Heath Road. Go and support your local team!

It's the big Christmas lights switch-on! The countdown to Christmas has begun and this event starts at 3 pm. There will be Foden's Band on the Cobbles to bring plenty of festive cheer, Christmas markets with local local crafts, gifts, treats, live music and street performers.

In the evening, a new theatre festival launches - CAST festival.

Local lovers of drama and performing arts will not have to travel beyond Sandbach for a night at the theatre this weekend and next weekend when CAST begins at Sandbach School in Crewe Road. Full details here

Sunday, November 23rd

Fancy having a run and then trying out a game of padel? It's a chance to start getting fit before the excesses of the festive season start. The 5 k run starts at 9 am from Elworth Cricket Club with padel at 10 am. Their website can be accessed here
