Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

Friday, October 31st

At Sandbach Market Hall, it's the Friday indoor market from 9 am until 4 pm - a chance to shop local and look around a variety of stalls - all with a bit of a Halloween twist.

Calling all witches and ghosts aged five to 12. There's a free Halloween Glow disco being run by Sandbach Town Council from 6 pm until 8pm at Sandbach Town Hall. Spooky games and crafts. Tickets booked in advance – all children must be with an adult. Click here to book your tickets

Fancy trying something different? Holmes Chapel Zoo is staying open for spooky fun which begins on Thursday (30 October) and runs until Saturday (1 November). Late night Halloween Zoo special packed full of animal encounters, eerie talks, and family entertainment.

Highlights include Owloween talks, wallaby encounters, skunk talks, and the daring 'Face Your Fears' experience, where visitors can meet arachnids and large snakes (if they're brave enough!). Children can also enjoy a Halloween disco with prizes for the best costumes.

The event runs from 4pm to 8pm, with tickets available at holmeschapelzoo.co.uk here

In the evening, Sandbach Rugby Club in Bradwall Road has a fireworks and halloween night including a fancy dress competition with prizes for the best costumes. Free face painting, a pumpkin trailand a spooky path!

There's also fun fair rides, marshmallow roasting by the fire barrels and live music.

Saturday, November 1st

Halloween fun continues at Sandbach Market hall from 9 am until 4 pm with glitter tattoes, nail painting, design a pumpkin and name the skelton. Don't miss it!

In the evening, Sandbach Choral Society present 'War Story' - a narrated musical event telling the story of a family, through two World Wars at St Peter's Church Hall in Elworth. Ticket details on the poster below.

Sunday, November 2nd

Looking to get fit and in top shape for the festive period? Start your Sunday with a Padel Den Social! The Padel Den at Elworth Cricket Ground has a great offer to get started and meet new players or just have a social game of padel. 

Enjoy 1.5 Hours of padel for £10 in a relaxed and fun environment. There are two socials on Sunday (2 November) from 11am until 12.30pm and the second straight after from 12.30 pm until 2pm. Racket hire and balls are provided. All players need to be above 16.
