Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

Friday, August 8th

Fancy a bit of bear hunting this weekend? Brereton's annual Bear Festival is on until August 31st. Full details in this article here

At Sandbach Market Hall, it's the Friday indoor market from 9 am until 4 pm - a chance to shop local and look around a variety of stalls.

Saturday, August 9th

It's Sandbach Makers Market from 10 am until 3 pm in Market Square on The Cobbles. There will be stalls full of handmade crafts, jewellery, gifts and other items. Live music all day from Jack Hamilton – the perfect summer soundtrack There's also a free children's crafting station.

Florist, Steve Lovatt, who has had a stall under the arches at Sandbach Market Hall, is retiring after 33 years and is laying on drinks and cakes as a farewell to trading.

Steve has already said 'goodbye' to Alsager's Wednesday market as revealed in our sister site, Alsager Nub News here but on August 9th, he says farewell to Sandbach.

His stall is the green gazebo on the photograph below - go along from 9 am until 4 pm and say goodbye!

Sandbach Allotments Society, formed in 2011, has its open day at Yeoward Farm in Elton Road (small track next to Ettiley Heath Community Church) from 2 pm until 5 pm. Tickets are £5 each which includes tea and cake with proceeds going to St Luke's Hospice. Go along and enjoy!

Sunday, August 10th

Fancy some Karaoke? The Lion in Sandbach has its Sunday 'Krazee Karaoke' from 7 pm.
