Walking through the doors of Elworth Grange Care Home in Sandbach is like walking through the doors of a top-class hotel.

There are sumptuous sofas in the reception area and there's a front of house manager, Rachel Harris, to welcome you and direct you to wherever you're going - just like you would expect in a well-organised hotel.

The surroundings are comfortable and welcoming and everything is there to make residents and visitors feel very much at home.

Elworth Grange Care Home off Booth Lane provides a supportive environment for older adults and forms part of HC-One's trusted family of residential care homes and specialist dementia care homes across the UK.

Elworth Grange opened its doors in June 2020 and has since become home to many local older people.

Residents enjoy a fun-filled programme of events from pamper days to Sunday morning movies in the cinema room and low impact exercise classes not to mention German language classes and a weekly knit and natter group.

There's regular walks outside with care staff, a gardening committee and even a 'Gentleman's Club' in the Sky Bar but what makes Elworth Grange stand out is the part it plays in the local community who are invited in to take part in a variety of activities.

Once a month there's a coffee morning with Dementia Friendly Sandbach as well as an an exercise class with Parkinson's UK and a carer and relatives' coffee morning plus regular events when the local community is invited in.

As home manager, Rachel McIntosh said: "We're in a great location with good transport links and we enjoy being very much part of the community.

"We have so many resources here and we value the part we play in the local community and the event we run to interact and share what we have here.

"We have monthly residents' meetings. Kind care means ensuring that everyone's views and wishes are listened to and acted upon ensuring our residents feel happy and content in their home."

All 66 of their spacious are en-suite room include fitted furniture, a flat-screen TV, mini fridge, Wi-Fi access and a telephone point.

But it's not just the surroundings and high standard of care provided and its high standing in the local community which set it apart it's also the positive feedback and comments from the families of residents.

As one person commented: "The wonderful staff at Elworth Grange have gone out of their way to help mum get settled into the home.

"The activities are so clever and look to be so much fun. The food looks fabulous. I simply cannot thank the staff enough for all that they do."

Another said: "One word: fabulous. This care home is absolutely brilliant. If anyone is thinking about the care of a loved one, this is the place to make sure they are safe and well looked after. The most important thing is my mum's happiness and well-being, it's all taken care of here."
