Sandbach and Holmes Chapel: Do you know your blood pressure numbers?

By Ryan Parker 23rd Aug 2024

Earlier this year, Everybody Health & Leisure invested in self-testing blood pressure machines, providing customers, staff and the public the opportunity to check their own blood pressure.

Senior Health Innovation Manager at Everybody Health & Leisure, Donna Williamson, told Nub News: "The self-testing machines have been extremely popular and we are proud to have invested in them to enable residents to self-monitor.

"This allows them to understand and monitor their numbers, helping detect and diagnose high blood pressure, known as hypertension.

Everybody's self-testing machines at Holmes Chapel Leisure Centre are available all year round (Everybody).

"Hypertension is an important public health challenge because of its high prevalence and associated risk of cardiovascular disease.

"Having a quick test is the only way to find out what your blood pressure is, which could potentially save your life."

Monday 2 September to Sunday 8 September is Blood Pressure UK's Know Your Numbers Week.

During this week, Everybody is encouraging residents to find out what their blood pressure numbers are.

Information will also be available on what the numbers mean and what to do if you have raised blood pressure.

Everybody's self-testing machines are available all year round, so you can come and visit their centres any time they are open to regularly monitor your blood pressure.

Self-testing machines are available at:
