Staff at Wellgate supported living accommodation in Sandbach are gearing up for a sports day with a difference tomorrow (Saturday).

Staff and tenants from the accommodation, based at the Old Printers, will compete against each other in an obstacle race, egg and spoon race, sack race, the three legged race, to name just a few of the oldie but goodie activities taking place.

The grand finale is a tug of war competition . Winners from each and every race will receive a medal. Below is a photo of one of the tenants at Wellgate taking a well earnt rest during one of our keep active activities.

A spokes person said: "Discovering different cost-effective ways of keeping active and busy is an integral part of supported living at Wellgate.

"Tomorrow (Saturday, 15th July) tenants and staff are to take part in a nostalgic nod to the sports day of yesteryear with some iconic races which everyone will remember. "

Wellgate is a local service offering supported living for those who wish to be independent but require different types and levels of support to achieve this.
