Motorists faced delays yesterday (Sunday) after a collision between a car and a HGV on the M6.

Police were called to the scene at 2.50pm between Junctions 17 and 16.

A Cheshire police spokesperson said: "Emergency Services attended and found there had been a collision between a car and HGV.

"There were no reports of any serious injuries and the scene was cleared shortly after 4pm."
