Team gets ready for endurance run in memory of seven-year-old Sandbach boy
By The Editor 3rd Jun 2026
There's just over a week to go until the Run 4 Patryk team begin their epic endurance challenge.
The tragic death of seven-year-old Patryk Milner nearly six years ago shook the whole Sandbach community including Patryk's beloved Sandbach rugby club.
Following the creation of 'The Patryk Milner Memorial Fund', a group of men all very fond of Patryk and his family ran four kilometres every four hours for 48 Hours in 2021, raising £42,000.
This money helped build a new running path - "Patryk's Path" - around the club along with 640 free sports holiday camp places for children in the community and now they are pushing ahead again to raise even more funds.
Five years on, the boys are back - older, heavier and non-the-wiser but they are upping the anti and with a few new team mates, will be running four miles, every four hours for 48 hours from 12 June until 14 June.

They aim to raise £25,000 and they have already raised 84 per cent of this target with an amazing £21,200 All money raised will support the Patryk Milner Memorial Fund.
And there's still time to donate to the fund through this link here .
On the Sunday, the final day of the run (14 June) there will be a celebration at Sandbach Rugby Club in Bradwall Road which will include a Padel social, bouncy castle, hog roast, live music and the bar will be open.
The Run 4 Patryk event will bring the whole community together and more than thirty runners are itching to get started.
