Town gets ready for the big switch-on tonight

Scores of people are expected to turn out to the big Christmas light switch on in Sandbach tonight (Saturday).
Fun fair rides were being set up on The Cobbles earlier today getting ready for trhe big countdown.
Darren Antrobus from Cheshire's Silk 106.9 is set to be creating plenty of warmth and fun for families as they wait for the big moment.
The switch will flicked on at 5pm when the town will be lit up for Christmas 2021 - the first big light switch on since before Covid.
Cold, blustery weather isn't expected to dampen the spirs of those turning out for today's event.
