Hundreds of people are expected to attend the annual Tree of Light ceremony at Sandbach Cemetery tomorrow (Thursday).

Sandbach will literally shine again when a service takes place to remember loved ones lost.

The annual event will consist of local choirs, readings music and the lighting up of the Tree of Light which contains handwritten stars to remember loved ones and will follow a similar format to last years which can be seen in this story here

The service is organised by the Friends of Sandbach Cemetery and Orbitas Bereavement Services and is always well-attended.

A spokesperson from the Friends of Sandbach Cemetery said: "The gates will be open to the public at 5.00pm.

"The evening will consist of local choirs, readings, music and of course, the lighting up of our glorious Tree of Light.

"There is no parking at this event due to health and safety regulations. If you require assistance entering the cemetery please ask one of our lovely volunteers in a hi-viz vest who will be there to help you.

"Hope to see you all there for what's looking like a memorable evening of Remembrance."

A video clip of last year's amazing service is contained in this story. Wrap up well and see you there if you're going.
