A Sandbach church used the wonders of modern technology to live stream a joint-service with another Cheshire venue - looking at climate change.

The Church on Ettiley Heath, enjoyed a service on Sunday (January 15) - highlighting climate change using the famous children's' book "Room on the Broom".

Local lay preacher, Malcolm Crook, led a service at the Elton Road church about how there is "room on the broom" if we think about our actions.

Two churches used the wonders of modern technology to live stream a joint service looking at climate change.

The Church on Ettiley Heath in Sandbach yesterday (Sunday) enjoyed a service highlighting climate change using the famous children's' book "Room on the Broom".

Local lay preacher, Malcolm Crook, led a service at the Elton Road church about how there is "room on the broom" if we think about our actions.

But it wasn't just church goers in Sandbach who were taking part – younger members of a church on the edge of Crewe were also joining in.

Malcolm Crook linked up with his daughter, Charlotte Wright, who was several miles away at Wells Green Church in Brookland Avenue, Wistaston

And it was all thanks to Zoom and both churches using giant screens to enjoy the activities going on.

A spokesperson for the Church on Ettiley Heath said: "We connected by Zoom and it worked well.

"It meant both churches could be connected and enjoy what we were doing, including craft activities."
