Two fire engines went to a kitchen fire in Sandbach last night (Sunday).

One fire engine from Sandbach and another from Crewe went to the blaze in Crewe Road at 7.33 pm.

A spokesperson from Cheshire Fire & Rescue Service said: "Firefighters were called to a fire in a kitchen which was out on arrival.

"The occupant of the property was led to safety and provided with casualty care by crews. A high-pressure fan was used to clear the smoke from the property."
