Two men arrested following high speed stolen car chase near Crewe

Two men from Birmingham have been arrested after a stolen car failed to stop for Cheshire Police on the M6 near Crewe, leading to a high speed chase.
On Wednesday 23 April, officers received reports of a vehicle being driven recklessly on the M6, near Junction 16.
When police caught up with the vehicle, heading northbound, it made off at speed.

The vehicle was chased until it came off the M6 at Junction 19 (Tabley Interchange), with the males fleeing from the car near Knutsford.
Police quickly located the males, who were arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, dangerous driving, drug possession and other driving offences.
A Cheshire Police spokesperson said: "In the early hours of Wednesday morning (April 23), we received reports of a vehicle driving dangerously on the M6, near junction 16 for Crewe.
"Officers from the roads and crime unit caught up to the vehicle, but it made off at speed.

"The vehicle was pursued by specialist officers, and it came off at Junction 19, where two males decamped from the vehicle near Knutsford.
"Both males, from Birmingham, were eventually located and were arrested on suspicion of theft of motor vehicle, dangerous driving, drug possession and other driving offences."
