Two new shops have opened in Sandbach town centre - hot on the heels of a Government campaign to breathe new life into the high streets post the pandemic.

Salon Collective, a hair and nail salon, and audiologist, Orchard Hearing, have opened next door to each other on Congleton Road.

Salon Collective describes itself as an "on trend salon that prides itself on creating exceptional hair and nails".

Orchard Hearing offers hearing assessments and solutions, noise protection, swim and sleep plugs and micro suction ear wax removal.

Congleton MP Fiona Bruce recently welcomed the launch of the Government's "Build Back Better High Streets" strategy, setting out how high streets across the Congleton Constituency will be supported as thriving places to live, work and visit after the pandemic.

Measures in the Government's strategy include extending pavement licences and the outdoor sales of alcohol for 12 months.

The strategy also includes empowering councils to take over vacant buildings through compulsory purchase orders so they can be converted into high quality homes and backing more entrepreneurs, start-ups and independent businesses through new guidance for areas on how they can best support local businesses.
