Two people rescued from overturned car near Sandbach

Firefighters rescued two people trapped in a car following a collision on the A534 Wheelock Bypass, near Sandbach.

The fire service were alerted to the incident at 1:40pm yesterday (Sunday) and on arrival they found a car on its side with two people inside.

A Cheshire Fire Service spokesperson said: "They stabilised the vehicle and got both casualties out of it before handing them over to the care of paramedics."

The crews also checked over a second vehicles for leaks.

Crews consisting of two fire engines were at the scene for around 40 minutes.
