Getting older or coming home from hospital can sometimes mean you need a little more help doing the things that matter to you. And when it comes to care, you deserve a service that suits you and your lifestyle.

Enter Guinness Care, a company whose vision is to improve people's lives and create possibilities for them alongside an ethos of being caring, accountable, respectful, ethical and dedicated.

In 2005, Guinness Care and Support Limited (now operating as Guinness Care) was founded as a charitable organisation and is a subsidiary of The Guinness Partnership.

Today the company has over 10,000 customers and supports older people living in their own homes as well as those living in specialised housing.

These qualities are similar to those held by Nub News, a website which continues to provide the community with hyper-local news, features and sport with sites all over the country.

Nub News is delighted to announce that Guinness Care is the latest Nub News sponsor for Sandbach Nub News, enabling the town to continue to provide hyper-local news and features as well as a business and events directory.

Sandbach Nub News is looking forward to working with Guinness Care.

The organisation's Care at Home services in Cheshire cover Crewe, Chester, Nantwich, Northwich, Knutsford, Macclesfield, Sandbach and Wilmslow and surrounding areas.

In this launch article, we look at what Guinness Care does and the services it provides.

A friendly face

First and foremost, if you have someone coming into your home you need to feel at ease.

Guinness Care's employees are not only skilled, friendly and experienced - they are also part of a small team who you'll get to know and trust.

All carers are background checked with CQC requirements and are fully trained in a large variety of topics such as safeguarding adults, first-aid, dementia, food hygiene, infection control, equality and diversity, care planning and customer service.

Education is everything. All carers have completed the Care Certificate and are trained to or working towards their QCF Level 2 or Level 3 in Health and Social Care.

Living life the way you choose

Guinness Care at Home Services help customers to stay independent in their own home for as long as possible.

Everyone is different and a care plan is tailored to suit the customer's lifestyle, providing personalised care in their own home.

This might mean supporting customers to go shopping or meet up with friends, helping with the cleaning or picking up medicine. Or it could just mean a friendly chat.

Listening and responding to customers' needs, helping them to live as independently, happily and healthily as possible and encouraging social connections - that's Guinness Care.

Tailoring the package to individual needs

No two people are the same and everyone's needs are slightly different. Delivering flexible, person-centred care - with no hidden surprises along the way - is what sets Guinness Care apart from other providers.

Just have a look at what's on offer.
