Voters cast their votes in the Elworth ward of Sandbach today

The polling station in the Elworth ward of Sandbach opened at 7am today (Thursday) and voters have until 10pm to cast their vote.

There is one polling station, Elworth Scout Hall in School Lane, where the three eligible districts within the ward are voting..

The three candidates standing for the seat are Dave Poole (Conservative), Nicola Cook (Independent) and Michelle Hough (Liberal Democrats).

Councillors are elected by public vote every four years. Any vacancies occurring outside of the four yearly election may be filled by co-option or a by-election.
