A burst water main at the junction of Booth Lane and Mill Lane in Elworth on the road between Sandbach and Middlewich is causing tailbacks.

United Utilities has apologised to motorists saying a team was due on site today (Monday) to fix the problem.

A spokesperson from United Utilities said: "The issue is a burst main, and we have a team scheduled to attend site today to carry out the repair.

"Temporary traffic lights are in place to ensure the repair can be carried out safely. We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
