Organisers of a popular charity event near Sandbach are gearing up for the opening this weekend.
Brereton Bear Festival is a fundraising event held every two years and the current one kicks off on Saturday.
More than 100 bears will be dressed and scattered around the village, in people's gardens and elsewhere to raise money for St Oswald's Church and community groups.
Co-ordinator, Helen Edge told Sandbach Nub News: "I'm literally up to my eyes in bears at the moment!
"The idea is to have loads of fun, especially after the year we have had and to do it safely."
At the last bear festival in 2019, Captain Beardseye, Five Bear Gate, Glastonbeary and Typooh caught judges' eyes to take top place.
Programmes cost £5 each are available from St Oswald's Church, The Bear's Head, Pear Tree Farm Shop, Brooks of Sandbach and RJ & J Moore, Congleton. The event goes on until August 31st
