Here are our top event picks for the coming days:

Saturday March 12th

The famous Sandbach Maker's Market is back on The Cobbles with plenty to see from 10 am until 3pm.

Packed with stalls, it's a lively occasion and if you feel you need to calm down after all the fun, there's an action-packed local football derby.

Sandbach United FC face neighbours, Alsager Town FC who have had a change of first team management and new players.

Kick-off is 3pm at the Hind Heath ground. Meanwhile Sandbach RUFC have the 1st XV at home against Sheffield RUFC while the 3rd XV entertain Wirral RUFC at Bradwall Road.

In the evening, the Military Arms in Congleton Road has a charity race and curry night in support of the Alzheimer's Society, starting at 7.30 pm.

The Sandbach branch of the Royal British Legion has its Poppy awards buffet and musical evening with South Cheshire Concert band.

At the Cheshire Cheese in Wheelock there's live entertainment with musician, John Robinson from 9pm onwards.

Sunday, February 27th

A family breakfast church takes place at New Horizons Methodist Church in Wheelock at 9.30 am.

There will be food, song, a Bible story and craft.

In Sandbach Market Hall, Sandbach Record Fair and a food,gift and craft fair 10am - 3 pm with lots of see and buy.

MeanwhiIe if running is your passion, Sandbach Striders is a running club for all abilities based out of Sandbach Rugby Club on Bradwall Road.

They meet Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights and Sundays at 9.30 am the latter for a 'long slow run' to be confirmed.
