Here are our top event picks for the coming days: Friday January 28th Dating from 1680 this former coaching in The Market Tavern in The Square is turning back the clock to the 80s with a disco. Bar B at The Tavern will be open from 9pm until 1 am with DJ Danny on the decks. Entrance is free and you're sure to have a great time listening and dancing to the golden oldies from yesteryear. Saturday January 29th If gin is your tipple, The House in Congleton Road has a "Spirit of Cheshire' gin tasting evening giving you the chance to sample a range of locally produced, handcrafted gins. The House will showcase gins from Cheshire distilleries and guests will enjoy four award-winning gins with home-grown botanicals. The paired mixers and gin will have appropriate garnish as well as a sharing platter of appetisers. More details are available click here. At The Market Tavern, Bar B will be open again from 9pm until 1 am with DJ Danny on the decks. Sunday, January 30th It's the beginning of the year and getting fit is on most people's minds. Sandbach Striders is a running club for all abilities based out of Sandbach Rugby Club on Bradwall Road. They meet Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights and Sundays at 9.30 am the latter for a 'long slow run' to be confirmed.
